Praying for the Government How to include twelve of Australia's most influential people in your life. By Les Nixon, © 2007
Twelve People make daily decisions that influence the course of everyday Australians. Their decisions either deny God's authority or acknowledge His Wisdom in the affairs of men. If they disregard God, they impose upon us living without God's best blessing. When they invite God?s wisdom and help, they place us ready for His blessing. The twelve are: HRH QE11 ______________________________________ Prime Minister __________________________________ Governor General _______________________________ Federal MP ____________________________________ Federal Senator ________________________________ State Governor _________________________________ State Premier __________________________________ State MP ______________________________________ State MLC _____________________________________ Local Mayor ____________________________________ Local Counsellor _________________________________ Public Servants _________________________________ Prophets and Apostles alerted and warned and praised Kings and Governors and Magistrates about rights and wrongs, healthy families, problems with corruption, and God?s answers to national issues. Moses and Pharoah; Jeremiah to the Governor, the people of God and families, and wept in anguish. Ezra preached it from a high pulpit; Daniel advised the Governor then was appointed Governor; Paul remonstrated with Felix. Wilberforce in the Commons; Dunmore Lang in the Legislature, as Fred Nile and similar leaders today. Because humanists are legislating for a pagan Australia and Islam is working for a Shariah Australia, we recognise our privilege under God to intercede for political leaders. Think of the supernatural power of God at work through the most powerful twelve people in our nation? The only way God's Will can be released within our nation is when Christians honour God in their lives, pray for our families, our churches, and our national leaders. My Promise: Daily I make promises to my family, my friends, my acquaintances, and my bank. My life is involved with daily promise-making; it's almost ceremonial. When I think of the supernatural power that God can unleash through the twelve most powerful people in my life, I hereby promise to include them in my prayer and representations—regularly. This is my solemn promise to God and the nation.
"I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth" (I Timothy 2:1-4). "For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? Do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same" (Romans 13:3). Praying at Outback Patrol Headquarters
